While in Youth Ministry, Scott and Jamie were filled with the Holy Spirit and after almost seven years in a fundamental Baptist church they answered the call to move to Albuquerque, NM. There they served with Pastor Dave Repp at Chelwood Park Foursquare Church from 1989 through 1993. At Chelwood they took a youth ministry of 65 and exploded it to over 600 youth every Monday night thus born Happenin' Youth Church, one of America's first youth churches. In January of 1994 they were promoted within the Foursquare Church denomination to work at the International Headquarters. Here they worked as administrators for Gregg Johnson, who served as National Youth Director. Scott and Jamie moved to Tucson, Arizona after Gregg Johnson retired as National Youth Director and served with Pastor John Casteel at Grace Chapel. This youth ministry of 35 young people had transitioned many youth pastors in a short period of time. Quickly Happenin' Youth Church of Tucson grew to 450 weekly and over 700 on outreach nights.
In January of 1998 Casey Treat, founder and Senior Pastor of Christian Faith Center in Seattle, Washington called needing a youth pastor. Scott, Jamie and family moved to Seattle and built an incredible youth center that reached 500 to 600 young people weekly.
In 2000-2002 Scott and Jamie served under Mike Hayes as the Assistant Pastors of Covenant Church in Carrollton, Texas. They were the Youth Pastors to over 1000 young people involved with Neotropolis Youth Church. They were involved with the founding and design of the Neotropolis Youth Facility, a new youth center that incorporates the youth church message held in a state of the art facility which includes a sanctuary that seats 400 with an additional 200 seats in theaters for overflow, pool tables, basketball court, movie theaters, arcade games and much more. This facility is not only reaching the young people of Covenant Church but also of the Dallas community.
Earthshakers, a free national youth conference, was founded and birthed in Tucson, Arizona by Scott and Jamie. The first year had an attendance of 1200. In five consecutive years Earthshakers grew into an attendance of 2500 with some of the nation's top youth communicators such as: Steve Hage, Blaine Bartel, Gregg Johnson, Ron Luce, Casey Treat, Jude Fouqier, Troy Covey and many more.
